whats is the difference between illustrator and photoshop

hey everyone,
i just was wondering what the difference between photoshop and illustrator? any help or info would be appreciated.

First this should probably be in something other than Forum Info and Rules.

Second, Photoshop and Illustrator are two very different programs. Illustrator deals with Vectors and infinitely scalable objects where as Photoshop is a more bitmap and has really need effects for editing and manipulating photos/ images
