That's an impressive design indeed. The layout is really good, seems entirely CSS based, which is good.
The diagonal striped background fits great too. I've seen some backgrounds like that before, but most of them don't match the site they're on. This one really fits in.
I'm really impressed by the header image too. I love the ruler image and the logo is just... perfect!

I'll have a better look around the site next week, when I have vacation. Still have to work a few days, but Wednesday I'm off ^_^
I've added it to my favorites to get back to it easily.
