What am I doing wrong? I have a picture of a group of high school boys. All are wearing blue-green shirts except for one boy in a black shirt. I want him to have a blue-green shirt too. I select the black shirt. Then I choose the color replacement brush in color mode, I click the eyedropper tool on a blue-green shirt, which changes my foreground color accordingly. Then I begin painting the black shirt, but the color is a kind of forest green, not my foreground color. I can't see the way around this problem. Please help.

Hi Xxlken and welcome to DEVPPL!

I think you have limited colors in that image. Try selecting all, copy, make new image and paste. Then see if you can use more colors.
